Royal Doulton Plate 'Under the Greenwood Tree' D3571 H. This is a lovely Royal Doulton plate titled 'Under the Greenwood Tree'. I believe this is from the Robin Hood Series. It shows Friar Tuck in his brown monk's robe sitting beneath the tree, Robin Hood and Maid Marian are pictured to his right. Five characters to the left of Friar Tuck are seated, all dressed as Robin Hood apart from the headgear. Maid Marian dons a lovely blue dress and flowered head wreath encircling her black hair. This is a lovely plate in typical Royal Doulton colours and excellent condition with no chips or cracks to add to any collection.
